Jim Townsend is the President and founder of Systems Ideas. Jim has worked in the IBM midrange systems environment since 1976 starting with IBM’s initial SMB offering of the S/32. Jim has been involved with the successful implementation of several conversions to and from midrange systems as well as developing and implementing software solutions for the distribution and small manufacturing/service support industries.

 

As a management consultant, Jim has designed and implemented various warehouse management systems, implemented inventory control systems, designed and implemented profitability analysis systems, designed bar code systems and implemented EDI solutions.
